Crocodile Season consists of two companion pieces, both collages, one moving, one still. The two collages came to existence because of the book “Notes of a Crocodile” by Qiu Miaojin in which Miaojin used the crocodile as a symbol for queer people. With Crocodile Season this symbol is reintroduced to highlight the opposition that queer people face and the lack of recognition for this issue within societies.
